Trio Caught, Released In Route 9W Gun Bust In Haverstraw

Three men were arrested on felony weapons charges after police said they were caught with a loaded gun during an overnight traffic stop on Route 9W in Rockland County.

The incident leading to the arrests began at around 12:45 a.m. on Sunday, July 26, when officers stopped a vehicle on Route 9W in the Village of West Haverstraw for a traffic violation, the Haverstraw Police Department said on Monday, July 27.

During the investigation, officers said they found that the three suspects inside the car were illegally possessing a loaded firearm, according to police. All three were then taken into custody and brought to the Haverstraw Police Department for further investigation.

Police identified them as Garnerville resident Tyler Riddle, 22; Nanuet resident Jaydan Lagredelle, 24; and Spring Valley resident Daniel Lans, 23.

Each man was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon involving an ammunition feeding device, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

They were arraigned in Village of West Haverstraw Justice Court and released on their own recognizance.
