Village of Haverstraw

The Village of Haverstraw has a broad policy of no parking on all village streets from November 15th through March 31st from 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. This policy is to allow our Department of Public Works to properly sand and plow the streets when winter weather hits.

However, with the increasing number of cars in the Village, and limited off-street parking and parking lots, the Village has gradually provided more on-street parking opportunities. This year the Village has again expanded on-street parking and simplified the rules that apply. By following the yellow signs that advise when parking is not permitted (during bad weather), residents can better manage their parking needs.

Please follow street signs for Street Cleaning and Alternate Side Parking. Follow the yellow sign during inclement weather.

Parking is permitted on the streets listed below, unless otherwise noted. HOWEVER, if snow or ice is forecasted, parking will only be allowed on one side of the street as indicated on the yellow sign.

Overnight Parking (2:00 AM to 6:00 AM) is NOT permitted in the Business District year round:

• Main St.
• Broadway (Edgar St. to West St.)
• New Main St.

• West St. (from Maple Ave. to Fairmount Ave.)
