Nora Malloy, a longtime North Rockland Central School District employee and cherished member of the Stony Point community is being mourned by the Stony Point Police Benevolent Association.
The Stony Point PBA sent its condolences to Malloy’s family and friends. She is remembered as a familiar and beloved presence at the organization’s annual Senior Brunch.
Known affectionately by many as the “unofficial mayor of Stony Point,” Malloy was recognized for her warm personality, sense of humor, and ability to make everyone she met feel welcome. She was always present at community events and was dedicated to helping others. She left a lasting impression on residents throughout the town.
She devoted nearly 50 years to the North Rockland Central School District. Malloy continued to serve the school community for many years after she officially retired. Throughout her decades of service, she impacted generations of students, families, and colleagues, earning a reputation for her kindness, compassion, and unwavering commitment to others.
Nora Malloy is remembered as a devoted public servant, a beloved friend, and a community fixture whose legacy will continue to live on through the countless lives she touched.
