Rockland County Weights & Measures Verifys Record-Breaking CroissantRockland Bakery creates 41.75-inch pastry for America’s 250th Anniversary

New City, NY – Rockland County’s Department of Consumer Protection, Weights & Measures Division officially verified the measurement of a record-breaking croissant at Rockland Bakery in Nanuet on August 24, 2026.The croissant, created by Rockland Bakery head baker Sean McConnell for The Mannii Show in collaboration with Serendipity3, measured 41.75 inches, or approximately 106.05 centimeters, in length. The measurement surpassed the previous 85-centimeter benchmark announced in Germany earlier this year.Rockland County Weights & Measures officials were on site at Rockland Bakery to conduct and verify the official measurement as part of the world record attempt.The 41.75-inch croissant surpassed the previous benchmark by 21.05 centimeters, or 8.29 inches, representing a 24.8 percent increase and marking the first time the record has surpassed one meter.The record-breaking croissant was created by The Mannii Show as a celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.
