Retro Fitness New York to Host 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb in Partnership with National Fallen Firefighters Foundation
NEW YORK – In recognition of the 25th anniversary of September 11, Retro Fitness locations in Pearl River, Tappan, and lower Manhattan are inviting local first responders, members and all community residents to participate in a 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb on Friday, September 11, in partnership with the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF).
The event is part of a nationwide Retro Fitness initiative encouraging participants to climb 110 flights, or 2,071 steps, representing the height of the World Trade Center towers and honoring the 343 FDNY firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001.
Participants can also support the NFFF through in-club fundraising efforts benefiting Fire Hero Families and firefighter programs nationwide. All first responders are invited to work out for free at Retro Fitness locations on September 11.
