On August 4, 2026, The New York State Police Troop F Computer Crimes Unit (CCU) has announced the arrest of Dylan Schneider, 28, of Congers, New York, following an investigation into the possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
Schneider has been charged with the following:
- Three counts of Possessing or Accessing with Intent to View an Obscene Sexual Performance by a Child Less Than 16 Years of Age, a class E felony.
The investigation began in May 2026 after the New York State Police received a CyberTip report from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). As a result of the investigation, investigators executed a search warrant at Schneider’s residence in Congers on August 4, 2026.
The investigation revealed that Schneider was in possession of images and videos depicting the sexual exploitation of children, including victims as young as four years old.
The arrest was the result of a coordinated effort involving the Troop F Computer Crimes Unit, the Troop F Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) in Haverstraw, the Troop F Community Stabilization Unit, the Troop F Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team, the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, and the Town of Clarkstown Police Department.
Schneider was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Clarkstown Town Court on August 24, 2026, at 1:30 p.m.
