Joe Rand Announces Endorsements from Seven County Legislators
Rockland County, N.Y. – Joe Rand, Mayor of the Village of Nyack and Democratic candidate for state senate, is announcing today that his campaign has been endorsed by seven county legislators, representing portions of all four towns across the 38th senate district.
Joe Rand is being endorsed by legislators; Paul Cleary (district 2 – Garnerville, Thiells, and Pomona), Chair Jay Hood Jr. (district 3 – Haverstraw and West Haverstraw), Toney Earl (district 8 – Spring Valley), Beth Davidson (district 10 – Nyack and Bardonia), Jesse Malowitz (district 12 – Suffern, Airmont, and Montobello), Vice-Chair Aney Paul (district 14 – Nanuet and New City), and Deputy Majority Leader Dana Stilley (district 17 – Piermont, Orangeburg, and West Nyack).
“Joe Rand is the type of dedicated public servant and values-driven leader that we need more of in the state legislature” said Chair Jay Hood Jr. “Joe has already shown that he has the ability to bring back funding for Rockland by advocating for a critical change in the state’s childcare funding formula that wiped out Rockland County’s waitlist, allowing more parents to afford childcare. I am proud to support his campaign for state senate.”
“Joe and I have worked together for years to deliver for residents of the Nyacks, and I know firsthand how hard he works to make a difference in our community,” said Beth Davidson. “I am most proud of the work he and I have done to push back against AI data centers that could drive up utility costs for families across our region, which is especially important given our current state senator, Bill Weber, voted against a bipartisan moratorium on AI data centers. Joe is a leader who gets things done, and I look forward to casting my ballot for Joe.”
