Jersey Mike’s Donations Reach National Stage—With Local Roots in Rockland

In Rockland County, it might look like just another quick stop for lunch along Route 59. But this past week, those same counters became part of one of the largest single-day charitable efforts in the country.

At locations in Nanuet, Suffern, and Stony Point, Jersey Mike’s Subs joined more than 3,000 stores nationwide for its annual “Month of Giving,” culminating in the March 25 “Day of Giving,” where 100 percent of sales were donated to charity.

This year’s campaign focused on supporting the 2026 USA Games organized by Special Olympics, helping fund travel, training, and year-round programs for athletes with intellectual disabilities.

📍 Local Stores, National Impact

Rockland’s three locations—situated along busy commercial stretches in Nanuet, Suffern, and Stony Point—may not draw much attention day to day. But during the fundraiser, they became part of something much larger.

Customers ordering a sub, whether dining in or taking out, were contributing directly to a national cause with local connections. Proceeds from New York stores help support athletes from the state, including those training and competing in regional programs.

🇺🇸 A Growing National Effort

Since launching its giving campaign in 2011, Jersey Mike’s has raised more than $140 million for charities nationwide. The annual March fundraiser has steadily grown, with last year’s effort bringing in roughly $30 million in a single month.

The one-day “Day of Giving” remains the centerpiece—turning what would be a typical midweek lunch rush into a coordinated national donation drive.

🧩 More Than a Promotion

While many national chains run seasonal promotions, Jersey Mike’s approach has stood out for its consistency and scale. Local franchise owners take part each year, often building connections with community organizations and causes tied to disability services and inclusion.

In Rockland, where community-based programs and volunteer efforts remain a strong part of local life, that connection resonates.
