📦 Food Donation Bins

Communities across Rockland County are collecting nonperishable, unopened, non‑expired food to help neighbors in need. Drop-off points include:

Monetary donations for hunger relief can be made through United Way of Rockland County, and volunteer opportunities are available via Rockland Hunger Alliance.

🧥 Clothing Donations

Winter clothing — especially coats and jackets — is being collected to help keep people warm. Drop-off locations include:

🧤 Warming Centers

The Rockland County Warming Center is open for anyone in need of a warm, safe place.

Location: Dr. Robert L. Yeager Health Center, 50 Sanatorium Road, Pomona

Hours: Nightly 5:00 p.m.–9:00 a.m. and daytime when temperature (including wind chill) drops below 32 °F

Services: Warm place to stay, hot meals, showers, laundry facilities, support for benefits, housing, and employment

Evening Transportation from Pick-Up Points:

Nyack: 7:00 p.m., Broadway & Burd Street (First Reformed Church)

Haverstraw: 7:30 p.m., Village Hall Commuter Lot

Spring Valley: 5:30 p.m., 6:10 p.m., 8:15 p.m., Bus & Train Station

Pomona: 5:00 p.m., Building L Bus Shelter
