I’m pleased to share some exciting news about our ongoing efforts to strengthen Rockland’s economic future and spotlight everything that makes our county such a dynamic, thriving place to call home.
In May, our Economic Development & Tourism department officially launched the Rock‑Solid, Rockland County Marketing Campaign—a major new initiative designed to showcase Rockland as one of the Hudson Valley’s most vibrant, opportunity‑rich communities.
This campaign positions Rockland throughout the tri‑state area as a top destination for investment and growth by highlighting our hardworking small businesses, our diverse and energetic downtown districts, our scenic location just outside New York City, our evolving built environment, and the entrepreneurs whose dedication fuels our progress.
This initiative is part of our broader strategy to grow Rockland’s economy in ways that directly benefit our residents. A stronger economy helps offset the cost of essential services—something our tourism efforts are already achieving.
In fact, tourism savings have helped reduce the average household’s property taxes by about $675 per year, and this new campaign will build on that impact to strengthen our communities even further.
Over the coming months, you’ll see the Rock‑Solid Campaign rolled out across multiple platforms—from digital advertising and business spotlights to regional partnerships, community activations, and countywide promotions. These efforts are designed to elevate Rockland’s profile and attract new residents, investors, and visitors.
One of the most exciting components is the introduction of our Rockland Rally Kits—a new partnership program inviting local businesses and downtown districts to join the campaign directly. Participating businesses will receive branded materials, marketing assets, social media tools, window decals, and opportunities for enhanced visibility countywide.
Through this effort, small businesses will be able to partner with the County, our IDA, and the RBA to be featured in campaign promotions, digital storytelling, community spotlights, and regional marketing initiatives.
