A Statement from Assemblyman Karl Brabenec (R,C-Deerpark) in response to Gov. Kathy Hochul’s 2026-27 State of the State Address.

“Improving the quality of life for communities statewide has always been a top priority of mine. Now more than ever, it is critical lawmakers in Albany work together to cut taxes, support our families, small businesses, veterans and school districts and help improve New York state’s future. Unfortunately, Gov. Hochul’s State of the State speech lacked a clear path forward to reach that goal. It will be interesting to see what steps are included in the governor’s executive budget proposal next week to foster economic growth, improve safety and expand opportunities for every New Yorker across the state.”
Assemblyman Brabenec represents the 98th District, which includes the city of Port Jervis, the towns of Deerpark, Greenville, Mount Hope, Wawayanda, Minisink, Warwick, Tuxedo and portions of the towns of Monroe and Ramapo. For more information, please visit his Official Website.
