Actions to Take This Week:

It’s one of those weeks where everything feels urgent, because it is. From stopping Trump’s illegal war through the War Powers Resolution, to fighting back against ICE expansion, to organizing to flip NY17, this is a moment that demands more than outrage, it demands action. Plug into what moves you: make the calls, join a phonebank, show up on March 28 for NO KINGS and help us send a clear message to Rep. Lawler that NY17 is organizing to turn blue.
Actions to Take This Week:  War Powers Resolution. Trump’s war with Iran is illegal and Congress has the power to stop it, but only if they feel the pressure. Call your members of Congress and demand they support the War Powers Resolution led by Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie. This is a defining vote, and they need to hear from us now. ICE OUT Phonebanks. Congress is negotiating funding for the Department of Homeland Security, including U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Join our Tuesday 1 PM phonebanks to connect constituents with senators and demand real accountability. Click HERE to RSVP.Click HERE to send an email to your own congressional reps. NO KINGS! On March 28, we’re organizing No Kingssister rallies at Pierson Park and Memorial, gathering on opposite shores of the Hudson, visible to one another across the water in a clear show of unity between Westchester and Rockland Counties. Our goal? Make this the focal point for NY17 – a congressional district we must flip in ’26. We want to surpass our 2025 NO KINGS turnout and send a loud message to Rep. Mike Lawler and the administration that we are organizing to turn this seat blue this November. Click HERE to RSVP. Phone Bank in NY-17. Citizen Action of New York is hosting a weekly virtual phone bank for NY-17, where volunteers call voters to help them register on the Working Families Party line and prevent a Lawler-friendly candidate from taking it, as they have during the last few election cycles. Click HERE to resister for a phone bank on Tuesdays or Thursdays. Fight Back With Friends! This is a national program that uses the Empower app to help you mobilize friends, family, and neighbors. Join the monthly one-hour training (fourth Tuesdays) to get started and take meaningful civic action. Click HERE to RSVP. What’s the Plan? The chaos out of the White House is meant to overwhelm us, but our antidote is community. Join Indivisible co-founders Leah Greenberg and Ezra Levin every Thursday for people-powered politics in real time, breaking down the week’s biggest stories, answering your questions, and mapping out real action. Click HERE to join the calls on Thursdays at 3PM. Fight for America with Stacey Abrams. Abrams is joining the Westchester County Democratic Committee for a Zoom fundraiser on March 11 to discuss the Democratic Party’s path forward and how we defeat MAGA.
