Troop F Press Release
On November 17, 2025, at approximately 3:56 p.m., troopers from the New York State Police Highland barracks responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a hotel on US-9W in the town of Lloyd, Ulster County.
The investigation revealed that Mark H. Cannon, age 32, of Highland, engaged in a physical altercation with a 56-year-old female victim. During the incident, Cannon repeatedly struck the female causing serious physical injury.
Cannon was indicted by a Grand Jury in Ulster County of the following charges:
Attempted Murder in the 2nd Degree, Class B Felony
Two counts of Assault in the 1st Degree, Class B Felony
Assault in the 2nd Degree, Class D Felony
Obstruction of Governmental Administration in the 2nd Degree, Class A Misdemeanor
Cannon was arraigned at Ulster County Court and remanded to Ulster County Jail.
