the call for Energy Choice act on Capitol Hill on Tuesday
November 18, 2025
Assemblyman Karl Brabenec (R,C-Deerpark) joined Rep. Elise Stefanik (NY-21), Rep. Nick Langworthy (NY-23), other members of the state’s congressional delegation, Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay (R,C-Pulaski) and other members of the New York State Assembly Republican Conference at a press conference on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025, to condemn the gas stove ban and all-electric mandates. Brabenec says taking away New Yorkers’ energy choice and implementing unfunded, all-electric mandates will place a heavy financial burden on New York families.
“While the gas stove ban and all-electric mandates have been delayed for the time being, with winter on the way, New Yorkers deserve to know exactly what to expect when it comes to their energy futures,” said Brabenec. “New York families’ safety and financial security cannot be put at risk. I strongly oppose the gas stove ban and all-electric mandates and am proud to stand with my colleagues in support of improving energy reliability and affordability statewide.”
Assemblyman Brabenec represents the 98th District, which includes the city of Port Jervis, the towns of Deerpark, Greenville, Mount Hope, Wawayanda, Minisink, Warwick, Tuxedo and portions of the towns of Monroe and Ramapo. For more information, please visit his Official Website.
