NY State Police Haverstraw Respond to an Armed Robbery That Occurred on the PIP New City

On November 15, 2025, at approximately 1:30 a.m., troopers from State Police Haverstraw responded to a report of an armed robbery that occurred on the Palisades Interstate Parkway northbound at Exit 10 in New City, NY.

The investigation revealed that the 21-year-old male victim reported leaving a bar located at 94 Main Street, Nyack, NY, with a female he had met inside the establishment. The female later identified as Jordyn M. Casserly, age 22, of Monroe, NY, convinced the victim they would be traveling to her residence. The victim believed that a car that arrived outside the bar was a rideshare vehicle and that it had come to pick them up.

Upon entering the vehicle with Casserly, the victim observed two unknown male occupants. The males were later identified as Jason Butler, age 25, of Wurtsboro, NY and Kyle J. Youngberg, age 38, of Middletown, NY. The victim was robbed at gunpoint and released on the Palisades Interstate Parkway near Exit 10 and the suspect vehicle fled the area.

A BOLO (Be On the Lookout) was issued to patrols in the surrounding area. Shortly afterward, the suspects were located, and troopers conducted a high-risk traffic stop on Derby Road in Wallkill, NY. All three suspects were taken into custody without further incident.

All suspects were charged with the following in Rockland County:

Jordyn Casserly was charged with:

• Robbery 1st Degree, Forcible Theft While Armed with a Deadly Weapon, Class B felony

• Conspiracy 4th Degree, Conspire to Commit a Class B or C Felony, Class E felony

Jason Butler was charged with:

• Robbery 1st Degree, Forcible Theft While Armed with a Deadly Weapon, Class B felony

• Conspiracy 4th Degree, Conspire to Commit a Class B or C Felony, Class E felony

Kyle J. Youngberg was charged with:

• Robbery 1st Degree, Forcible Theft While Armed with a Deadly Weapon, Class B felony

• Conspiracy 4th Degree, Conspire to Commit a Class B or C Felony, Class E felony

• Menacing 2nd Degree, Weapon, Class A misdemeanor

Casserly, Butler and Youngberg were additionally charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, Class A misdemeanor, following the traffic stop. They were issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Wallkill Court.

On November 16, 2025, all three suspects were arraigned in the Town of Clarkstown Court and were remanded to the Rockland County Jail on bail set at $75,000 cash, $150,000 bond, or $300,000 partially secured bond. An order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.
