6TH GRAND JURY TERM OF 2026 CONCLUDES

NEW CITY, N.Y. – District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh II announces the completion of the 6th grand jury term of 2026. The grand jury term started on May 29, 2026, and was completed on June 24, 2026, handing up 12 indictments. The Rockland County District Attorney’s Office is committed to seeking justice for the people of Rockland County in a speedy manner in accordance with the law. The following is a list of indicted cases:

  • Monroe Perkins – Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree – Two Counts.
  • Bernard Salas – Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree.
  • Malik Baptiste – Burglary in the First Degree-Two Counts; Attempted Assault in the First Degree; Assault in the Second Degree; Burglary in the Second Degree; Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree; Endangering the Welfare of a Child; Obstructing Governmental Administration in the Second Degree; Resisting Arrest.
  • Oniel James – Attempted Assault in the First Degree; Assault in the Second Degree.
  • Tamoye Walters – Burglary in the Second Degree; Assault in the Second Degree; Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree; Unlawful Imprisonment in the Second Degree; Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree; Petit Larceny; Assault in the Third Degree.
  • Syed Haider – Course of Sexual Conduct against a Child in the Second Degree.
  • Daizelle Bowling – Assault in the Second Degree – Two Counts.
  • Oscar Juarez-Hernandez – Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the Second Degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
  • Doodly Metellus – Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree.
  • Joel Santiago – Criminal Contempt in the First Degree – Three Counts; Aggravated Family Offense-Three Counts; Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree – Three Counts; Aggravated Harassment in the Second Degree – Two Counts; Stalking in the Fourth Degree.
  • Kamani Atterbury – Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree; Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree; Criminal Possession of a Firearm.
  • Pedro Ramirez-Suchite – Sexual Abuse in the First Degree; Endangering the Welfare of a Child; Forcible Touching.

*It should be noted that an indictment is merely an accusation, and that a defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
