The endorsements represent sheriffs from communities across New York, from Western New York and the Southern Tier to the North Country, Capital Region, Hudson Valley and Central New York. “I could not be more honored to endorse Saritha Komatireddy for New York State Attorney General. The AG should be someone who backs the men and women in uniform, while never losing sight of justice for victims. Saritha has spent her career prosecuting terrorists, drug traffickers, and violent criminals – and not playing politics. New Yorkers deserve that kind of leadership, and I know Saritha will always put public safety first,” said Madison County Sheriff Todd M. Hood. “Keeping New Yorkers safe requires strong partnerships between state and local law enforcement, which is why I am endorsing Saritha Komatireddy for NYS Attorney General. Saritha understands that because she has spent her career taking on terrorists, drug traffickers, and violent criminal organizations. She has the integrity, experience, and commitment to the rule of law that New Yorkers deserve in their next Attorney General, and I am proud to support her campaign,” said Erie County Sheriff John Garcia. “The Attorney General should be a partner to law enforcement, not an obstacle. Saritha Komatireddy understands that because she’s spent her career enforcing the law and holding dangerous criminals accountable. She has the experience, integrity, and leadership to restore confidence in the Attorney General’s Office, and I’m proud to endorse her for Attorney General,” said Steuben County Sheriff James L. Allard Komatireddy, a former federal prosecutor in the Eastern District of New York and former Chief of Staff at the Drug Enforcement Administration, has made restoring the Attorney General’s role in public safety a central focus of her campaign. She has pledged to work directly with sheriffs, police departments and district attorneys across New York to combat violent crime, drug trafficking, organized crime, and fraud. Komatireddy said the endorsements demonstrate the need for a stronger partnership between the Attorney General and the law enforcement officials responsible for protecting communities every day. “Sheriffs are on the front lines of public safety in communities across New York. They know what is working, what is broken, and what they need from the Attorney General’s Office to keep people safe. I am honored to have the support of 42 sheriffs across our state. As Attorney General, they will have a partner who will stand with law enforcement, stand up for victims, and use every tool this office has to make New York safer.” The 42 Sheriffs endorsing Komatireddy are: Allegany County Sheriff Scott A.
