Pedestrian Struck on Rt. 303 and Nyack Motor Lodge crossing by Palisades Mall


 On February 27, at approximately 7:12 PM, the Clarkstown Police Department responded to the area of Rt.303 and the West Nyack Motor Lodge in West Nyack for a report of a pedestrian struck by a car. Responding patrol units observed a male lying in the roadway in need of medical attention.

Nyack Volunteer Ambulance and RPS Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to Nyack Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The victim is a 28-year-old male from Spring Valley.

The driver of the vehicle, 34-year-old male from Garnerville. The driver remained at the scene.

The victim was crossing Rt.303 when he was struck by a 1999 Mazda sedan travelling northbound. There has been no arrest made or summons issued but the investigation continues.

The victim remains in serious condition at Westchester Medical Center, where he was transported from Nyack Hospital for serious injuries.

Due to the nature of the injuries the Clarkstown Police Accident Investigation Unit responded to the scene and is continuing the investigation into the cause of the accident.
